This time of year I always have so much turkey left over. Well, if you are like me, you may be tired of turkey sandwiches by this point. Here is a quick and super delicious way to enjoy that last bit of turkey lurking in the freezer. This recipe uses my favorite WST spice, the Spice of Life. Not a fan of soup? Seriously, y'all. I add this to everything. I made sweet potato hash the other morning and it was a lovely addition. Dry rub for chicken wings? Need to make pasta sauce a bit snazzier? Roasting some nuts but want a little spice? WST Spice of Life is my go-to spice. I have yet to find something I DON'T like it in. Enjoy experimenting!

Ingredients

  • 4 c. Chicken broth

  • 4 c. Water

  • 2 Tb. Well Seasoned Table Spice of Life Seasoning

  • 2 large Carrots, sliced

  • 2 Celery stalks, sliced

  • 1 Yellow onion, small, chopped

  • 2 Tb. Butter

  • 2 c. Cooked rice

  • 4 c. Turkey, cooked, chopped

Directions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter and cook onions until translucent. Add the Spice of Life Seasoning.

  2. Add carrots and celery. Cook for another 5 mins.

  3. Add broth, water, turkey and rice. Bring to a simmer for about 20 minutes.

  4. Add salt and pepper or more Spice of Life Seasoning as needed, to taste.

  5. Serve with our No-knead Bread for a delicious dinner!
