Secret Garden Gin & Tonic
We love this colorful rendition of the standard Gin & Tonic using Butterfly Pea Flower Gin and decorating with the magic of our Secret Garden Sugar Dust!
Ingredients:
5 oz Tonic Water
*2 oz Butterfly Pea Flower Gin (I use @empress1908gin )
1 oz Citrus Juice (lemon, lime, Meyer lemon, key lime, orange, etc.)
1/4 tsp of Secret Garden Sugar Dust
For the most beautiful assembly: start with filling the glass with ice, then add the Secret Garden Sugar Dust. Pour the gin over the ice, and top with tonic (to 3/4 full). Finish with lemon...which will create a natural chemical reaction that changes the color of the drink from blue to magenta. When you assemble it like this, the glass will have 2 different colors and the gradient colors. Suspended in the liquid are colorful edible flowers, that add an additional pop of color!
If you don't have Butterfly Pea Gin...
Option 1: use your favorite gin instead! It won't be purple/blue, but it will still be delicious!
Option 2: infuse your own gin with some Butterfly Pea Flower yourself. To do this add 1 Tbsp of Butterfly Pea Flower to 7-8 oz of gin. Let infuse for several hours to a few weeks. The longer it sits, the bluer it gets!
