Have you ever been to a Japanese or Asian restaurant and ordered a warming and delicious bowl of Ramen Noodle Soup? It's so satisfying and seems so fancy! Well, it doesn't have to be fancy! You can take a 28 cent pack of store-bought Maruchan Ramen and make that same bowl of noodles at home!
The key is to switch the enclosed seasoning packet (throw it out...it's gross!) for a few high quality ingredients. Investing in good tamari, miso paste, and good organic spices, like the Well Seasoned Table Thai Red Curry Seasoning, is all it takes to elevate any Asian noodle dish. This is one of my favorite Millennial kitchen hacks. How to take a 28 cent pack of noodles and make it something fancy! Restaurant quality!
The Well Seasoned Table Thai Red Curry Seasoning really is the secret ingredient here. It adds so much flavor, depth, and complexity to the broth. And a little heat! Using farm-fresh, organic spices instead of the cheap msg-laden spice packet elevates the dish.
For veggies, I like to lightly steam or sauté Asian-inspired veg like baby bok choy, baby Portobello mushrooms, or broccoli. Carrot ribbons add a cute and fancy touch. Your friends will be so impressed! Also, if you top with a smidge of Kimchi and a sprinkle of black sesame seeds, you'll really be elevating your dinner! Bon appetite!
1 pack Maruchan Ramen, without seasoning packet
2 c. Water
1Tb. Tamari
1 tsp. Miso Paste
1 Tb. Well Seasoned Table Thai Red Curry Seasoning
Vegetables of your choice (i.e. broccoli, carrots, bok choy, mushrooms)
In small saucepan, add Water, Tamari, Miso Paste, and Well Seasoned Table Thai Red Curry Seasoning.
Bring to boil, and add noodles. Cook 3-5 minutes.
Add in steamed or sautéed vegetables of your choice. Serve and Enjoy!
