Root Bottom Farm is a quaint and charming farm tucked in the mountains of Madison County, NC. Established in 2011, this organic farm is a beacon of the old-fashioned way of growing great food - by hand and without chemicals. The Decker family
Sarah, Morgan, and Josephine, own and operate the farm with love and dedication. They specialize in growing high-quality, specialty crops such as microgreens, berries and garlic (that later becomes black garlic!).
In addition to their exceptional crops, Root Bottom Farm produces
award-winning jam and other added-value products. When they're not hard at work in the fields, you can find the Deckers exploring the great outdoors, whether it be biking long distances, hiking the Appalachian Trail, or skiing out West. They truly embody their value of loving life and living life to the fullest.
Sarah Decker is also an incredibly talented photographer and author of several books. She also maintains a stretch of the Appalachian Trail (No easy job! Think chainsaws through the wilderness!).
Root Bottom Farm's commitment to organic farming and sustainable agriculture makes them a perfect collaborator with Well Seasoned Table. Their blackberries are going into our
Blackberry Bramble Summer Seasonal Tea in 2024! A blackberry tea with Asheville's Queen of Jam! Yes please!
