You may be used to starting your day with our Fiery Golden Milk...but have you ever tried it in your breakfast? Here, the powder replaces the turmeric that's often added to give tofu scrambles a golden hue...but the benefits don't stop there: You'll also be adding hemp hearts, bee pollen, and a flavorful kick of Pure Fire Foods' Fire Tonic mash.
This scramble is great for making ahead (store it for up to 5 days in the fridge) and reheats beautifully in a skillet, air-fryer, or microwave. We devoured this on the farm with flour tortillas and sliced avocado, but it's just as delicious on its own. Happy scramblin'!
Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- Β½ red bell pepper, seeded and diced
- ΒΌ yellow onion, diced
- Salt and pepper
- 1 Tbsp. Fiery Golden Milk (powder)
- 1 cup chopped kale
Directions
- Break tofu into large pieces (3/4β-1β) and let drain for 5-10 minutes on paper towels or a clean kitchen towel, patting dry occasionally.
- Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet. Add pepper and onion and cook, stirring frequently, until softened, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
Add tofu and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, about 5 minutes. Add Fiery Golden Milk and kale and continue to cook until tofu is evenly coated and kale is wilted, 3 to 5 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
